Digital Point Forums Down

Yeah I just noticed like 20 minutes ago that Digital Point forums were down. Its a vBulletin database error. I thought it was just an error because it exceeded the database limit on concurrent users. But the database error is still there.

I get a few database errors on Whooked because of that myself but it goes back to normal once the number of traffic goes back to normal. But I don’t think DP is down because of that. An attack? Maybe.

Well even if it was an attack the people at DP wouldn’t tell us. So take look for yourself and think of what might have happened or is happening. Btw, here’s a screenshot I took of DP.

Update: DP has been like that for like a day now. Mike, a commenter confirmed it and also a guy on MSN. Well I don’t really use DP so I didn’t notice. Ahhh blond moments. Well this also confirms that it wasn’t just a little hiccup.

Update Again: I just checked a few minutes ago and DP is up and running. But it is still fairly slow (as usual).

    yeh its annoying me lol.

well dp forums hav been slow lately… like the last couple days they have been really slow. Its not a sudden onset or anything… so I wouldnt say its an atak. This happened a few months ago also… a few days of slowness followed by constant short term crashed or a long one…

    Gets quite annoying lol.

I thought Digitalpoint is doing upgrade and because of that it is down for a moment, but till now it has not been put online. It looks like they are suffering from some really hard problems with Database.
I hope that fix it soon!

Hopefully it won’t be down much longer, I don’t know much about keeping forums up and running, but I sure am missing it today, its hard to sponge free information when the best place to go for it is down :(

DP moderators have no restraint in upsetting users and run the forum like a prison. I have no doubt that they pissed off the wrong person this time. They make about $10k off just google ads, not counting sales from digitalpoint.com. I think that they can not only afford better servers but better moderators.
