Blast away those ads!

Ever been to a site which used every single possible inch to cramp up ads? Well I have seen a lot of them and I just hate those sites. Not only does it look ugly but it’s really annoying too. Everyday there is a new kind of ad or pop-up being created and its being used by millions of site. But is it worth it?

Do you really make millions by just cramping those ads and filling your site with pop-ups? They might make enough to pay for your domain or hosting. But are you just making your site to put ads on it and get some revenue? Well if your intentions are something like that then I would say that you are polluting the web and you’re just wasting your visitor’s time (no offence).

Sure a few little pretty ads are okay, but pop-ups or one of those audio/visual ads are a big no no! If you’re thinking that those ads on your site will make you millions then you’re not thinking reasonably. I wouldn’t blame you if you were thinking like that; we should blame those ad companies like Google Adsense, Adbrite, etc. Do you really think that people will click on those ads on your site like crazy? I don’t think so.

Guess what is the most annoying ad? For me the answer would be the kind that takes you to a splash page and shows the ad. Wow, thats a nice way to shove visitors out of your site. It just comes down to if you really want to have a nice and popular site or if you just want to make money out of it. If you want to make some money out of those ads then you would need visitors (a good number of visitors actually).

I would try to keep all my sites ad-free. But, if I really had to put ads on my sites then I would put text ads or nice banners that sort of blend into my site and would stay away from pop-ups, audio/visual ads and splash page ads. But until then lets try to blast away those ads!

Seeing that u seem to know how Ads works , please let me ask you a question :

In many Free Host , they allow you to have your ads .

Q1: What’s the use of Your Ads if you put on some ?

Q2: Does putting a friend banner from his website/blog/forum is considered as Ads?

    - Some Free Host say , your Ads should match the content of your Blog/Webiste/forum .

Q3: How can you say this Ads go well with my blog/forum/webiste ?

Q4: are there any Ads peoples/newbies should not put on their website/forum/blog ? Why ? what are the dangers?

    Thanx

    1. You earn money by putting ads on your site. Like if you sign-up with Google Adsense and every time a visitor clicks on the ads on your site, you get a certain amount of money.

    2. I wouldn’t say that it was an ad unless you’re friend was paying you to or exchanging links/banners to generate traffic.

Yeah it’s better if the ads match your site’s contents then your visitors would be actually interested in it.

    3. Like something related or similar to each other. For example, you blog about flowers and your friend has a flower shop then it will go with your site because your visitors might be interested in buying some flowers.

    4. Never use pop-ups, pop-unders or the splash page ads because it will annoy your visitors and some might not visit your site again in the future. Also try not to put ads that are not related to your site or contains obscene, objectionable and adult materials.

I think I’ve answered all your questions.
