Are Stripes Overused?

Are stripes overused? This is a question being asked by a lot of us. So today I’ll give you the answer. And also explain a bit, of course. Oh and sorry for not posting for 4-5 days. Been a busy week (and I was being lazy lol).
The answer to this million dollar question would be yes. Yep stripes are really overused. Its everywhere. It came with the Web 2.0 look and its still here (just like the shiny floor effect). Like a lot of sites use stripes. But the problem isn’t that. The problem is that pretty much everyone uses the same old diagonal stripes. Just look at the pic on the left and you’ll get what I’m saying.
Now we need to think fresh. We need to think differently. Its also called uniqueness. Like why use the diagonal stripes. Try horizontal or vertical ones. Or you could even try diagonal stripes with different angles. Just go crazy with them and you’ll end up with something cool.
Plus don’t just use two colours. Use a few colors or shades of the same color. Like you could make a horizontal stripe with a few shades of red. Just check out the one I made (its on the left).
The stripe I made isn’t very good. But you get what I mean, right? Its pretty easy to make stripes. You don’t need to be a Photoshop guru or anything. I use StripeGenerator.com.
You can also find inspirations there. Just click on “Your Stripes” from the top and check out the stripes people made. And if you’re good at making them in Photoshop then do it in Photoshop.
Just play around and eventually you’ll come up with your Mona Lisa of stripes.

“Web 2.0 design concept”? What? Web 2.0 is a business model, mister, not a design concept.
Yeah I know that. But there is a thing called the “Web 2.0 look”. People just made it up. Its basically all the glossiness and everything.
I use that term to make it easier for people to know what I’m talking about. Most of the internet users are familiar with that term (by now).
